„Der Umstand, dass bis heute keine Standardschreibweise für die Notation von Schlagzeug und Percussion etabliert wurde, kann durchaus als musikhistorisches und theoretische Phänomen bezeichnet werden. Die allgegenwärtig und selbst bei professionellen Musikern, Komponisten und Arrangeuren anzutreffende Unsicherheit über die Frage der Notation für Schlagzeug und Percussion und ihrer praktischen Umsetzung ist eine logische Konsequenz dieses Phänomens.Mit scoreGroove für das Latin Percussion-Plugin von Finale entstand nun erstmals eine umfassende Bibliothek mit Rhythmus-Notationsvorlagen. Sowohl in der unmittelbaren Anwendung in Finale als auch mit dem pädagogischen Anspruch eines Lehr- und Lernmaterials will scoreGroove Hilfestellung und Antwort auf die Frage nach der ‘richtigen’ Notation von Schlagzeug und Percussion sein. Die in scoreGroove verwendete Schreibweise ist dabei Resultat meiner langjährigen Unterrichts- und Workshoppraxis sowie meiner Tätigkeit als Autor von Zeitschriftartikeln und Büchern zu dieser Thematik.“
Der Autor und Ideengeber von scoreGroove
José J. Cortijo ist Professor für Latin Percussion an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Mannheim sowie gefragter Dozent bei Workshops und Seminaren im In- und Ausland. Ihn zeichnen zahlreiche Auftritte und Tourneen mit namhaften nationalen und internationalen Künstlern aus.
